The evenings are getting shorter, but our terrace on Gerard Douplein isn’t done with summer yet. Salut is our French all-day restaurant in De Pijp: a sunny, yellow hideaway designed by Jean-Philippe Demeyer, where you drop in for a glass of wine and stay for dinner.

From oysters to steak frites
At Salut you order exactly what you feel like. Start with Fine de Normandie oysters or brioche with eel, continue with Moules Pastis, Crevettes Pil Pil or a classic steak frites, and finish with chocolate mousse or cheesecake. See the dinner menu.

Côte de boeuf, à partager
Coming as a couple, or with a table full of friends? Share the côte de boeuf, served with golden fries and all the time in the world.

Taste the Cuvée Salut
Our own Cuvée Salut Chardonnay is fresh, round and made to be enjoyed by the glass. It sits alongside a changing selection of wines by the glass, so there’s always something new to discover. See the wine list.

A French bistro near the Albert Cuyp Market
Salut is open Tuesday to Sunday: from 3 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, and from noon Thursday to Sunday, just a short walk from the Albert Cuyp Market. Book by emailing info@salut-official.com or send us a WhatsApp; walk-ins are often welcome too. Address and opening hours.
Events at Salut
This summer we hosted a Mediterranean evening with Gin Mare and brought Chicks & Sangria back to Gerard Douplein. We announce new editions first on Instagram @salut_a_amsterdam. Celebrating something? For groups of 7 or more and private events, email info@salut-official.com.
What others say
AmsterdamNOW describes Salut as quality without attitude, The Citizen wrote about our lobster roll and skate with tarragon sauce, and Misset Horeca named Salut among the most impressive hospitality interiors of 2025. Been already? Leave a review on Google or Tripadvisor.
In the mood for a night with more glamour? Our sister restaurant BISOUS on Albert Cuypstraat is all about oysters, champagne and Bordeaux Wednesday.
